Zoho Account Needs Re-authentication or Is Blocked

title: Zoho Account Needs Re-authentication or Is Blocked
description: Resolve Zoho account blocks and re-authenticate a disconnected Zoho mailbox in SalesBlink.

Overview

Zoho automatically blocks accounts when it detects activity that could indicate a security risk or policy violation. This guide explains why it happens, how to unblock the account, and how to reconnect it in SalesBlink.

Why Zoho accounts get blocked

Common reasons include:

  • Multiple failed login attempts
  • Logins from unfamiliar locations
  • Sending emails flagged as harmful or spam
  • Exceeding the maximum number of recipients per email
  • Going over your mailbox storage limit

Blocks are either temporary (auto-resolved after a period) or permanent (requires manual action). Learn more from Zoho.

How to unblock as a regular user

  1. Check your inbox for a banner notification — Zoho usually displays the reason for the block along with an unblock link directly in your mailbox.
  2. Alternatively, visit the self-service unblock page: https://mail.zoho.com/UnblockMe.
  3. If the block was triggered by suspicious login activity, change your password first before you can unblock the account.

How to unblock as an admin

  1. Log in to the Zoho Mail Admin Console (use the URL for your region: Global · AU · EU · India).
  2. In the left panel, go to Security & Compliance.
  3. Select Blocked Accounts.
  4. Choose Blocked Users or Blocked Groups depending on what is affected.
  5. Locate the account — it will appear under either Temporarily Blocked or Permanently Blocked.
  6. Hover over the email address and click the Unblock icon.
  7. To unblock multiple accounts at once, check the boxes next to each address and select Unblock from the top menu.

Once the account is unblocked in Zoho, reconnect it in SalesBlink:

  1. Go to Outreach → Email Senders.
  2. Find the affected Zoho account.
  3. Edit the sender, update your credentials if needed, and click Save to reconnect.

If the account is still showing as disconnected after completing these steps, contact SalesBlink support. See also Connecting Zoho Email.
