Overview

Connect SalesBlink to the ChatGPT desktop app so you can manage cold email outreach without leaving your chat. Create prospect lists, launch sequences, check replies, and track campaign performance using natural language commands.

Prerequisites

Before you start, confirm you have the following:

Active SalesBlink account: Sign up at https://run.salesblink.io/signup if you do not have one.
SalesBlink API key: Retrieve it from SalesBlink Dashboard > Integrations > API.
ChatGPT desktop app: Installed on macOS or Windows and signed in.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Get Your API Key

Log in to your SalesBlink account.
Click Account in the Top Navbar.
Select Integrations from the dropdown.
Click the API tab.
Click Create API Key.
Enter a name for your API key (e.g., "ChatGPT").
Click Create New API Key.
Copy the generated API key.

Step 2: Install the SalesBlink Plugin

Open the ChatGPT desktop app and sign in.
Run the following command to install the SalesBlink plugin from the marketplace:

codex plugin marketplace add https://github.com/open-salesblink/skill

Step 3: Set Your API Key

After installation, configure the plugin with your SalesBlink API key. Set the environment variable in your terminal or in your ChatGPT configuration:

export SALESBLINK_API_KEY=your_salesblink_api_key_here

Note: Replace your_salesblink_api_key_here with the actual key you copied in Step 1.

For persistence, add this line to your ~/.bashrc, ~/.zshrc, or .env file.

Step 4: Verify the Connection

Test that ChatGPT can reach SalesBlink.

Open the ChatGPT desktop app.
Ask a simple question, such as:
- "Show me my SalesBlink lists"
- "What sequences are running?"
ChatGPT should respond with live data from your SalesBlink account.

Troubleshooting

Plugin Not Found

Confirm you are using the exact command shown in Step 2.
Make sure your ChatGPT desktop app is up to date.

Connection Failed

Confirm your API key is active in SalesBlink Dashboard> Integrations> API.
Make sure the SALESBLINK_API_KEY environment variable is exported in the same terminal session running ChatGPT.
Restart the ChatGPT desktop app after any configuration change.

Permission Errors

Check that your SalesBlink API key has the necessary scopes for the actions you want to perform.
