Random Delays and Sending Hours
title: Random Delays and Sending Hours
description: >-
Send emails at irregular intervals during set hours to protect sender
reputation.
Overview
Random delays and sending hours help you send emails at irregular intervals and during preferred time windows, mimicking human behavior to improve deliverability and protect your domain reputation.
Prerequisites
- Active SalesBlink account
- A sequence ready to schedule
What Are Random Delays?
Random delays allow you to send emails at irregular intervals instead of all at once.
How It Works:
- You choose a range (e.g., 2–7 minutes)
- Emails are sent at random intervals within that range
Example:
- 1st email → after 3 minutes
- 2nd email → after 6 minutes
- 3rd email → after 2 minutes
This randomness mimics human behavior and improves deliverability.
Default Behavior: Even if disabled, SalesBlink adds a 30–60 second delay automatically to help improve deliverability.
What Are Sending Hours?
Sending hours lets you control when your emails are sent.
What You Can Set:
- Preferred time range (e.g., 9 AM – 6 PM)
- Specific days
Emails will only be sent within these defined windows.

While Scheduling a Sequence
Click Save & Schedule.
- Set the following:
- Start time & timezone
- Random delays (enable and set range)
- Sending hours & days
